Our department is divided in two research groups, which follow different lines of research.

One is neurobiology, mainly focussing on sensory perception in various arthropod model systems.

The second is biology of cognition, whose research is devoted to the study of animal cognition in a broad, biological framework using animals from four different taxa (reptiles, fish, birds and mammals).
